Helping Hands for Trina Benefit
Posted on January 7th, 2011
On December 19, The Green Grass Cloggers hosted 'Helping Hands for Trina', a benefit for fellow clogger Trina Royar, at the Grey Eagle Tavern and Music Hall in Asheville. Acts included: New Southern Ramblers, Green Grass Cloggers, Bob Willoughby's Country/Swing Revival, Trevor and Travis Stuart, Paul's Creek Band, Reems Creek Rattlers, Red Wellies and Friends, Blue-eyed Girl, and Twisty Cuffs.
The benefit was a huge success. From the generosity of all who gave of their time, talents, and money, we raised over $4,000 for the Trina Royar Medical Trust. Special thanks to all of the musicians, decorators, dancers and especially Laurel for managing the Silent Auction - it alone raised over $1400 dollars. Also a special shout out to Jeff and staff at the Grey Eagle for their continued support of our music and dance community.
From all the Green Grass Cloggers - thanks for a job well done!
If you were unable to be there and would like to do make a donation, please make checks payable to: The Trina Royar Medical Trust, 271 Murdock, Asheville, NC 28804.
